Needed: persons interested in being trained as therapeutic respite providers.
Prefer persons in Union/Towns/Fannin County Georgia (towns of Blairsville, Hiawassee, Young Harris, Morganton, Mineral Bluff or Blue Ridge).

Training will be provided by an experienced, professional respite provider. More details to be announced as class dynamic evolves.

Ultimately, Respite Retreat will be looking to contract with and/or hire 2-3 respite providers for ongoing ministry to parents coping with children with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Bi-Polar, Autism and other defiant emotional behaviors — which is why close proximity to Respite Retreat’s current facility is critical. But others willing to commit to providing quality, skilled respite for affected families will be welcome to attend training as well.

Background check and CPS registry check are mandatory prior to acceptance into training program. First aid and CPR certification will also be required but may possibly be scheduled during training dependent on need of trainees. MAPP, IMPACT, or PATH training is recommended. Ideal position for retired or single persons with no small children of their own.
